So what is postpartum hair loss?
1. Physiological hormone
The reason for androgen alopecia is that the androgen is relatively or slightly increased. In order to maintain the pregnancy status during pregnancy, the female hormone will increase. After the birth of a child, the female hormone secretion in the body will decrease, resulting in the relative increase of male hormone in the body, which will lead to postpartum alopecia.
2. Psychological factors
Among the patients contacted by Director Zhou, many patients have expressed that they have not accepted the fact that they have become a mother psychologically. The anxiety generated psychologically can cause hair loss, and even lead to postpartum depression.
3. Dietary factors
During the postpartum lactation period, if the digestion and absorption function of the puerpera is poor, it is easy to suffer from nutritional deficiency or imbalance, resulting in insufficient supply of protein, vitamins, or minerals in the body, thus affecting the growth and metabolism of hair.
In fact, postpartum alopecia is mostly a physiological phenomenon, which occurs 4-20 weeks after delivery, especially 3-4 months later. It can last for several months. Usually, it can recover itself within 6-12 months after delivery, without special treatment.
