The department was renamed as Plastic Surgery Laser Center in 1991. It is a comprehensive and multi-functional new hot clinical discipline integrating surgical plastic surgery, laser cosmetology and skin care. It is the first hospital in our province.

Over the past decades, the department has successfully carried out microsurgery, repair and reconstruction, as well as tens of thousands of cosmetic operations, enjoying brand reputation inside and outside the province. It is now divided into laser room, skin care room, operating room and plastic surgery room. It has a good set of imported laser treatment equipment, which has good treatment effect on hemangioma, skin pigment and other diseases.

Now there are 8 beds. The department has 1 chief physician, 1 deputy chief physician, 2 attending physicians, 1 resident doctor, 3 nurses, and 2 persons with master's degree or above. He has published dozens of professional papers inside and outside the province and has undertaken many scientific research funds.

At present, there are about 2500 outpatients and more than 800 inpatients and outpatient operations throughout the year. This department is the only training base for plastic surgeons in Anhui Province. Over the years, the province has trained nearly 100 plastic surgery professionals. Anhui Southern Medical College has enrolled 7 courses in cosmetic and plastic surgery and graduated from 350 professional students. The department currently has a master's degree program.
